Josie meets up with John barton again and give each other their pieces of paper with their emotions written on it.
John talks to Josie about the fact that his father hates him at the moment just because he didn’t win the maths competition.
“My father was home when i got there this afternoon . Went through my mail. He owns m y life so of course he is entitled to open my mail,” he spat out bitterly.
after John finishes telling Josie about what his father think s about him at the moment they decide to talk about the HSC and that they have to write what they are feeling at the moment and then they have to give it to someone else and then after the HSC the person that they gave the note has to ask them how they are feeling and read out what they felt before the test.
In this chapter we are shown Josie’s feelings for John Barton again, we are also shown that Josie cares about what John does with his life and tries to help him with his problems.
